Enabling Tracking Options

Before you can use a tracking option for an event, you must enable it in your group settings.

Admin Kiosk

The admin Kiosk is always enabled for all events and is the default check in/out method for all events.

Online Events

Self Logging Hours

Enabling Self Logging hours for online events allows you to select Self Logging when setting up an event.

A volunteer will be able to log hours by themselves for an event. You can also specify instruction on required information needed to self log in each event's settings.

In-person Events

Self Logging Hours

See above for information on Self Logging.

GPS Check In

Enabling GPS Check In allows you to select GPS Check In when setting up an event.

On the day of an event with GPS Check In enabled, your volunteers will see a GPS Check In button in their To-Do items section of the Dashboard. They will be able to check in once they are within .5 miles of the event and within event times. You will see how far away a volunteer was when they checked in/out and what time they checked in/out.

QR Check In

Enabling QR Check In allows you to select QR Check In when setting up an event.

When you enable QR Check In for an event, we will generate QR Codes that your volunteers can use to check in/out.

You can access the QR Kiosk from the admin tools page. You will also see a link in the Admin Kiosk if QR Check In is enabled for an event.

The QR Kiosk will contain both QR Codes (Check In and Check Out).

You can also print out the QR codes to post at your event.

You will see a list of recent check ins/outs as they happen. This is best viewed on a device with a larger screen.

Organization Check In

Enabling Organization Check In allows you to select Organization Check In when setting up an event.

Organization Check In will allow an organization access to a version of the Admin Kiosk to check in/out your volunteers for you.

You will also need to enable organization check-in for each organization you want to access it.

Once you add an organization that has organization kiosk access to an event, they will receive an email with a list of volunteers attending and a link to the Organization Check In Kiosk. The email will be sent x days before the event, based on the Event Reminder Setting.
