Using QR Check In

A group admin must enable this check in method for each event.

Scanning a Check In/Check Out QR Code

Once you arrive at an event, a group leader will present a QR Code for you to scan. You can scan this code by opening the camera app on your phone then point the camera at the code. You'll see a notification or popup.

Once you scan the code, you will be directed to VolunteerStudio. If you are not already signed in, you'll be directed to the sign in page, and then you'll be automatically checked in.

Don't forget to scan the Check Out QR code when you leave the event.

If your group uses the QR Kiosk, you should see your name pop up on the screen after checking in/out.

Taking a break

If you need to check out and then check back in, scan the respective codes.

QR Check In has failed.

There are several reasons why QR Check In/Out can fail.

  • You are trying to check in before the event has started.

  • You are trying to check out when you have not checked in yet, and vice versa.

  • You followed a bad link.
